SOS OCEANS

Does water pollution only affect waterways? And is it easy or difficult to solve? This and other questions will be answered through a set of games and experiences where it is possible to see and feel the consequences of pollution on aquatic ecosystems in general, and on the quality of water and the life of living beings in particular.

Benefits:

  • For students: Children and young people will become true marine explorers, learning about the importance of the oceans, the impacts of pollution and how we can make a difference.
  • For teachers: It is certainly a practical and educational activity that connects students with the environment and addresses topics such as ecology, marine biology and sustainability.
  • For school: It is a huge incentive for environmental awareness and care for the oceans among students. The SOS Oceanos project is a powerful pedagogical tool to transform future citizens into more conscious citizens.

Why is this SOS Oceanos project important?

  • Awareness: Students will understand the importance of the oceans for the planet and for human life.
  • Action: Hands-on activities will inspire students to make a difference in their everyday lives.
  • Knowledge: Students will learn about ecology, marine biology and sustainability.

The oceans are in danger! Plastic pollution, overfishing and climate change threaten marine life and the balance of the planet. Imagine a world without colorful fish, without clean beaches and without the beauty of the oceans. With the SOS Oceanos project, we can help change this reality! Our activities are adapted to the age group of the students and the pedagogical objectives of the school. We provide all the materials needed for the experiments.
Year-round activity.

Count on us to offer an unforgettable experience!

We live Sustainability!!

1 – What is the SOS Oceanos activity and what is its main focus?

It is an educational workshop made up of games and practical experiences that demonstrate the consequences of pollution on aquatic ecosystems. The main focus is to answer questions about how trash and contaminants affect not only the sea, but all waterways, impacting the quality of marine life and, consequently, human health.

2 – What are the benefits of this workshop for the school community?

For students, the activity transforms them into “marine explorers” aware of the impacts of plastic and climate change. For teachers and schools, it works as a powerful tool to address topics of marine biology, ecology and sustainability, encouraging daily behaviors that protect our beaches and oceans.

3 – How does Living Place raise awareness among students about ocean preservation?

Through dynamics where students can “see and feel” the effects of pollution, Living Place promotes an emotional and scientific connection with the sea. The workshop uses experimental materials to show the difficulty of cleaning the oceans after contamination, reinforcing the importance of prevention and SDGs 6 (Clean Water) and 14 (Life Under Water).
