Sustainable Development Goals

Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS SDG

2015 will go down in history as the year in which the 2030 Agenda was defined, comprising 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 2030 Agenda is a broad and ambitious agenda that addresses several dimensions of sustainable development (social, economic, environmental) and that promotes peace, justice and effective institutions. The Sustainable Development Goals are based on progress and lessons learned from the 8 Millennium Development Goals, established between 2000 and 2015, and are the result of joint work by governments and citizens around the world. The 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals are the common vision for humanity, a contract between world leaders and peoples and “a list of things to do on behalf of peoples and the planet”.

Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável

We live Sustainability!!

The 2030 Agenda is a shared vision for humanity, comprised of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) addressing social, economic, and environmental dimensions. Living Place integrates these goals into its mission, acting as a "contract" to protect the planet and its people. We focus on promoting peace, justice, and effective institutions, ensuring that our tourism experiences directly contribute to the progress defined by world leaders and citizens worldwide.

Sustainability at Living Place is not a recent concept; we have a consistent track record of monitoring and offsetting carbon emissions since 2012. Through a rigorous schedule and the Biosphere International seal, we demonstrate our commitment to mitigating climate change, ensuring that our tourism entertainment activities leave a positive footprint and are compatible with the regenerative limits of Nature.

We believe that change begins with education, which is why we provide specific resources such as the "SDGs for Children" and information on the SDG Indicators in Portugal. Our motto "We Live Sustainability" is reflected in the sharing of knowledge about how each citizen can contribute to this list of "things to do" for the planet, raising awareness among both young people and the business sector about the urgency of sustainable development.
