Living Place at Eco Aventura Aveiro: An Immersive Week of Environmental Awareness and Biodiversity
Just like in 2024, it was with great enthusiasm that the Living Place team participated in the Eco Adventure in Aveiro, an event that, for seven days, from June 2 to 8, 2025, allowed us to immerse ourselves body and soul in environmental awareness. We had the privilege of interacting with hundreds of participants, children and adults, sharing knowledge and awakening a passion for nature through dynamic and educational activities.
The title “Living Place at Eco Aventura Aveiro: An Immersive Week of Environmental Awareness and Biodiversity” says it all about this event.
Our mission at Eco Aventura has been focused on three fundamental pillars of nature, designed to highlight the interconnectedness of life on our planet. and the responsibility we all have in its preservation:
Guardians of the Ocean: Marine Life in the Spotlight
In this captivating activity, we promote the importance of marine ecosystems for the life of the planet. Through interactive games, simulations and clear explanations, we show the vital importance of the oceans for the global balance of life. We address topics such as plastic pollution, overfishing and the protection of marine species, encouraging participants to become true “Guardians of the Ocean” in their daily lives. We demystify the idea that the ocean is an inexhaustible resource and emphasize the need for each of us to contribute to its health, protecting its biodiversity, its fragile ecosystems and all marine life.
Pollinators: Tiny Heroes with Big Impact
The crucial role of pollinators in our life was the focus of this activity. Often ignored, insects such as bees, butterflies and other pollinators such as birds, are essential for our diet and for the planet's flora. We explain how their relationship with flowers is fundamental for the reproduction of plants, which in turn are the basis of our food chain. Through practical examples and interesting facts, we highlight the importance of protecting these small, hard workers and their habitats, warning about the dangers of the indiscriminate use of pesticides and the loss of green spaces.
Mixed Eggs: The Secret World of Birds and Amphibians
Highlighting biodiversity and its habitats. From their role in natural pest control to their contribution to the health of ecosystems, this activity revealed the importance of preserving these species and their habitats, which are often threatened by human action. We created a playful environment where participants could learn about the life cycles of birds and amphibians, their importance in the web of life and how our actions directly impact their well-being.
We deeply thank all participants for their curiosity and commitment, and the organization of Eco Aventura (Municipality of Águeda) for this unique opportunity to sow seeds of environmental awareness. At Living Place, we believe that education is the most powerful tool for building a greener, more sustainable future. We will continue to work tirelessly to inspire the next generation of nature advocates.
