Imagine yourself in an enchanted garden, where flowers and leaves weave a palette of vibrant colors. With this workshop, we can transform these shades of nature into incredible works of art. Our workshop is adapted to the age group of the students and can be personalized according to the seasons and the plants available in the region. 1 – What is the Painting with the Colors of Nature workshop and how does it work?

It's a creative activity where students discover the origin of colors. Instead of using synthetic paints, participants learn to extract natural pigments from plants, flowers, and soil, just as was done in the past. These organic paints are then used to paint a small collective mural, celebrating biodiversity and sustainable art.

2 – What are the pedagogical objectives of this workshop that combines Art and Science?

The workshop aims to educate about the chemistry of natural pigments and the history of art, while promoting sustainability. Students develop an aesthetic sense, creativity, and respect for natural resources, realizing that nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration and non-polluting materials for artistic creation.

3 - Who is this activity suitable for and what is the best time of year to do it?

This workshop is adaptable to all age groups and is especially recommended for the spring months (March, April, May, and June), when the flora is most exuberant and offers a richer color palette. Living Place provides all the necessary materials, adapting the pigments to the species available in the region and the season.
